I finally purchased a Canon's PowerShot S2IS compact digital camera.

I compared it with other ultra zoom compact cameras like Panasonic's LUMIX DMC-FZ30, and decided the S2IS because it is easy to purchase in Oregon. I was able to buy the S2IS in a shop but not FZ-30. Also I considered other factors such as the size of the body, a zoom power, an image stabilazation mechanism, etc... and concluded that the S2IS is best suit for me.

I've always wanted to be a photographer as a hobby, but didn't have a chance to start.
But, now I finally decided to start shooting photos!

To be honest, I wanted to buy a D-SLR, but it's so expensive. So, I decided to begin with this reasnable, all purpose, powerful compact camera, to study the "Photography" as the first step.
